Flat Roof Gutter Drains

Allproof’s small-diameter roof drains made from bronze are the ideal solution for internal gutters on flat roofs. The size of the base means they easily fit into internal gutters or narrow areas where a larger roof drain wouldn’t. The centre outlet on small-diameter roof drains can also be positioned closer to walls or parapets, making it an excellent option for flat roofs or usable rooftop entertaining spaces.

The small diameter roof drain uses a cast bronze flange / base which is rebated into the roof substrate and fixed into place using screws. The rooftop waterproof membrane is then applied over the entire roof space and dressed into the flange. A clamp ring is then fixed over the top of the membrane and flange with stainless screws, providing a flush finish with the waterproofing surface and mechanically clamping the membrane in place. This will ensure that the membrane doesn’t move as the building settles or is affected by the elements. The bronze material doesn’t warp or flex under heat-applied membrane creating a premium and high-performing finish. The grate uses a cam-lock system so that the waterproofing isn’t disturbed during maintenance.

The bronze roof drain flange outlet fits inside the pipe with an o-ring seal on 50mm, 65mm, 80mm and 100mm downpipe. A 90° flange and outlet option is available on 50mm and 65mm bases providing an excellent option for skillion roofs or roof spaces with reduced depth.

Allproof’s small diameter bronze roof drains have been independently flow rate tested.

The small-diameter bronze roof drain comes with a variety of grate options including dome, overflow and flat drainage grates. The dome roof drain prevents blockage from leaves or other debris such as plastic bags. The overflow can be used with a dome or flat grate, the flat grate can reduce the height allowing it to sit under decking or tile jacks on usable rooftop spaces. An ASA injection moulded plastic black grate can be used as an economic option, these have been UV stabilised and designed to withstand Australian conditions.
